Security Policy

Please read this policy carefully as it applies to all
hosting accounts. This policy is made to protect you and us.
This policy is very important and should be followed. The
reason this policy has been implemented and there are some
scripts and things out there that make your account easy to
hack. We know you do not want your account hacked and would
not internally let it happen but mistakes to happen. These
security policies are in effect to keep your account
functioning properly.
1. Scripts
When installing scripts please make sure it is from a
trusted source and if you can read up about the script. When
you are researching the information please loose for the
following
- Look for known security bugs
- See what others have said about security
- See if anyone else has had problems with the script
- See if there is a demo and try it out look for things
that might be a security flaw.
- See what the requirements are
These things plus common sense will tell you when a
script doesn't look like a script that is safe. Most scripts
are designed to be safe but there are scripts designed to
make it so they can hack your account.
If we find any script that is causing problems to the
server depending on the severalty of the problem we may do
one or more of the following
- Email you and give you 2 days to fix the problem
- Backup the database and file and delete the script
email you and let you know
- If determined to be a on purpose action suspend the
account and delete the software
- If script was working fine and determined not to be
the script we may at our discretion uninstall and
reinstall as best we can the script (may loose
information) email you and ask you to do it.
- Any other action deemed appropriate depending on how
the problem is effecting our servers.
We will notify you of any action taken and try to give
you the opportunity to fix the problem your self. The
only time we will take it upon our self's to delete files is
if it is determined that if by not doing so would,
- Cause problems to other users
- Damage the server
- Make your account or our server hack able
- Any other problem that would either cause sever damage
or problems with other clients.
9 out of 10 times we can email you and let you work the
problem out. We are compiling a list of scripts that have
been approved by plzhost.com
2. Support tickets / calling us
When you call us or send us a support ticket or do
anything that is going to change the billing of your account
we require that you verify your account. The way you do this
provide us with the following
- Full name as it appears on the account
- email address on the account
- Full address on the account
- Phone number on the account
- And the hosting package your on.
- If you have a password the password
This way we know its you. We are not going to change
anything on your bill unless we know who we are dealing
with. If we feel that someone other than you is trying to
make a fraudulent transaction on your account we will call
the number listed on your account to verify. Also another
way to help us is if you call us, call us from the number on
your account we can read the caller id and see if it
matches.
Another thing we may do if we keep getting calls or
tickets that we believe are fraudulent we will call you to
setup a password on your account.
